Our Forever Place

Where all our love lives on

Rescued 3 March 2021 ❤️

In loving memory of our little angel, Karma girly, our first foster fail.

After spending almost an entire year sitting in a cage, waiting for somebody to give her a home, we were lucky enough to eventually become her family. Karma completely changed our lives forever and will always leave her mark on our hearts.

She came fully house trained, and we thought, how lucky are we? Then, bit by bit, we realised she was not going to be so easy, what with her love of chasing goats and sheep, and her terrifying reactions to puppies! We knew we had our work cut out for us. But with every day that passed, we fell more and more in love with her.

It was an honour to give her a loving home and watch her live out her senior years safe, warm, and adored. We put aside our own needs and dedicated our free time to her, and we would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

She was lucky enough to enjoy six van holidays around mainland Spain. The moment we started packing the van, she would get so excited, although equally excited to come home afterwards and recover. Our home may have been small, but she was happy, safe, and deeply loved there.

Our little woman of the world loved the simple things most: beach days, road trips, chicken nuggets, cheese, snuggling up in bed, barking at the outside world, and being wherever her people were. Hearing her snore peacefully beside us became one of life’s greatest comforts.

Anyone who truly knew Karma got to see the special side of her that made us fall in love with her every single day. She wasn’t “perfect” by most people’s standards, but to us, every fault, every funny habit, and every imperfection made her completely perfect. From her inability to drink water without choking, to the fact that, try as she might, she could never quite muster up a proper howl.

We will always wish we had more time, but we are beyond grateful for the five beautiful years we shared together. From the kennels to the most loved little princess in the world, Karma’s story is one we will tell forever, in the hope that more older dogs get the second chance they deserve.

Thank you for everything, sweet girl.

Our little angel, little piggy, snuggle bum, queen of the house, and forever our little baby.

Run free, my darling. Chase all the goats, eat all the cheese, and know you were loved more than words could ever say. ❤️🐾
